The highest number of attendants for the Euroanaesthesia 2008 came from United Kingdom, Germany and the Netherlands.
Internationally the highest number of attendants were from China, USA and Australia.
The congress website and the Preliminary Programme are important marketing instruments: More than 40% of the Euroanaesthesia 2008 delegates chose to attend the event due to information available on the website, and 30% gave the Preliminary Programme as their main source of information. If the scientific programme presented in the programme and on the website is the main reason for most delegates to attend many are also very interested in the latest research presented by industry at the exhibition. This is shown in the appreciative figures from the 2008 survey where 80% found the exhibition good or very good. Overall, close to 90% of the participants of Euroanaesthesia 2008, perceived the congress as good or very good – a result that the European Society of Anaesthesiology is determined to maintain for the future congresses.
