25th Anniversary of the European Diploma in Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care
The ESA Examinations Committee, the EDA examiners and local hosts as well as the ESA staff involved in the EDA activities were pleased to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the European Diploma in Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care during Euroanaesthesia 2009 in Milan. The EDA is actually believed to be the oldest surviving European medical diploma! Mr. John West, the first Director of Examinations, Prof. Jean-Claude Otteni, host of the examination centre in Strasbourg in 1984 and Dr. Anne Hunting, host of the examination centre in Oslo in 1984 were amongst the prestigious guests invited to commemorate the birth of this huge educational project.
