Invitation from Host Country
Dear Colleagues and Friends,
The National Organising Committee cordially welcomes you to attend Euroanaesthesia 2010, the Annual Meeting of the European Society of Anaesthesiology, in Helsinki from June 12th to June 15th, 2010.
The Scientific Programme of the Annual Meeting covers the latest knowledge in different areas of Anaesthesiology, Perioperative Medicine, Intensive Care, Emergency Medicine and Pain treatment. The programme encompasses not only clinical management but also basic research and educational issues. The Congress gives you the opportunity to meet your friends, colleagues, and top-experts in the field of Anaesthesiology.
Helsinki, the capital of Finland and 460 year old Daughter of The Baltic Sea is easy to reach from all over Europe and other continents. Helsinki is an excellent city to host Euroanaesthesia 2010 Meeting – not only for the first-class Scientific Programme, but also for the many attractions outside the congress venue. Northern location with summer’s midnight sun, easily accessible beautiful archipelago, lively Market Place, Finnish design, many shops, cafes and restaurants, tidy and unpolluted environment, and friendly people make Helsinki an ideal venue for international events. A pleasant stay may include also a visit to the neighbouring countries like Sweden, Estonia, and Russia. For instance, Estonia with Tallinn’s historical Old Town is only a 2-hour ferry ride away from Helsinki.
The congress venue, Helsinki Exhibition and Convention Centre, is not far from the city centre and it is easily accessible by train, bus, or tram. Ticket covering the different public transport in the city area during the Congress days is included in the Congress fee.
The Finnish Society of Anaesthesiologists also takes the opportunity to welcome all delegates. We look forward to seeing you in Helsinki!
