Visit the Lahti Day Case Centre during the Euroanaesthesia 2010 Congress

Lahti Day Case Centre is a dedicated Day Care facility built in 2005. Its purpose is to facilitate rapid and efficient Day Care surgery. It is an independent unit based in a central hospital. Preoperative evaluation, surgical care and recovery take place in this unit. 

There are 9 new operating theatres that are well equipped for patient care. Data management for monitors, ventilators, anaesthesia and PACU- care have been integrated.  Also preoperative, postoperative and step-down units are foreseen in order to optimise Day Care logistics for adults and children.

Two visits of the Lahti Day Case Centre will be organised during Euroanaesthesia 2010. Both will take place on Monday, 14 June 2010; one in the morning and one in the afternoon.

A bus will depart from the Helsinki Exhibition & Convention Centre, the 105km journey to Lahti will take approximately 1 h 15 mins .The 2 hour hospital visit also includes a short presentation by the Chief Executive Officer.

Pre-registration will be required for these visits. The registration fee is €30 (including VAT) per ticket. Exact time of departure will be available in due course.
