2009 ESC Guidelines on Pre-operative Cardiac Risk Assessment and Perioperative Cardiac Management in Non-Cardiac Surgery

The 2009 ESC Guidelines on Pre-operative Cardiac Risk Assessment and Perioperative Cardiac Management in Non-Cardiac Surgery have just been published on the ESC Web Site, ahead of print.
These guidelines are the result of a joint effort of The Task Force for Preoperative Cardiac Risk Assessment and Perioperative Cardiac Management in Non-cardiac Surgery of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) and the European Society of Anaesthesiology (ESA).
The 2009 ESC Guidelines on Pre-operative Cardiac Risk Assessment and Perioperative Cardiac Management in Non-Cardiac Surgery will also be published in an upcoming edition of the European Journal of Anaesthesiology.
You can already access these Guidelines via the ESA website: the ESC Web Site also provides freely available educational products derived from these Guidelines. The PDA version of the Pocket Guidelines is already available and soon to come will be the educational slide-set, the essential messages and more.
