ESA and ESICM together support education, training and research efforts in the Russian federation

The European Society of Anaesthesiology (ESA) and the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine (ESICM) together support education, training and research efforts in the Russian federation.
Paolo Pelosi represented ESA while Rui Moreno and Andrew Rhodes represented ESICM at the recent CEEA ESA Course and at the following ALI/ARDS and Respiratory Support 2010 meeting recently organized by Professor Edward Nicolayenko in Moscow, Russia.
This meeting gave the opportunity for ESA and ESICM to reiterate their desire to improve relationships with the Eastern European Countries, especially with regards to being able to help with education, training and research opportunities.
This leadership meeting allowed the two international Societies to explore areas where collaboration could lead to future projects that could benefit both Societies. Cooperation in order to increase patient safety and to improve standards of care in Europe is the key-word.
Long life to the cooperation.
