Meta-Analysis Grant
With the fast pace of modern times, with accelerated communication and growing flooding of information it has become virtually impossible to keep up with all scientific developments, all basic research and all clinical studies in Anesthesiology, Intensive Care, Pain, Emergency medicine and Perioperative Medicine in general.
Systematic reading and evaluating publications has become a science itself: Meta-Analysis. Often, a Meta-Analysis is not just summarizing current knowledge but creating new valuable evidence. The whole thing is more than the sum of the parts. Also, a Meta-Analysis can be a valuable basis for the design of targeted clinical studies.
In any case, Meta-Analysis can be very useful and are a major component of evidence based medicine.
The Meta-Analysis plan of highest interest and importance will be rewarded with €20,000.
